Being a depository of Good Manufacturing Practice principles, the GMP provides guidelines on how to arrange production, control and storage processes in organizations and businesses whose products may pose a risk to the health and safety of consumers. In most countries, companies in pharmaceutical and perfumes and cosmetics industries launching or offering their products in various markets must comply with GMP and other standards outlining GMP requirements (e.g. ISO 22716 for the cosmetics industry).
The GMP certification cannot replace mandatory audits held by regulators. The certification by TÜV SÜD is intended to verify the company's ability to manage its processes, which will be confirmed with the GMP certificate awarded by the recognized international expert organization.
While providing extrinsic advantages (e.g. a certificate to be presented to stakeholders), the certification audit also offers opportunities to share up-to-date knowledge, experience, best practices and drives improvements in the organization.
Certification services are offered based on the procedures of TÜV SÜD Industrie Service GmbH. The certificate sample can be found here.
