Internal audit of quality management system according to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 19011:2018

This training represents a three-day workshop where the future internal auditors should study the requirements and practices of planning, conducting and completing an internal audit in accordance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 19011:2018.

The introductory part of the training is devoted to the importance of auditing in the quality management system and achieving continuous improvements. Having identified the objectives for the auditor, the requirements and correct solutions must be combined into a single model. In order to implement a risk-oriented approach and to achieve results in the internal audit process, the training considers risks and management measures in the following areas:

• internal auditors;
• implementation of the audit program;
• including the risks of non-realization of improvements as internal audits result.

On practical exercises participants perform the following tasks:

• selection of a quality auditor team;
• audit planning for a specified period, taking into account the significance, risks, opportunities and experience; selection of audit criteria;
• selection of audit criteria;
• documentation assessment (we use "living" examples of documents and focus auditors on flexibility in approaches);
• planning a logical survey and monitoring the receipt of evidence;
• evaluation of observations (we use real photographic materials, teach to notice inconsistencies, and not to make premature conclusions);
• work with objections of the audited person using the best approaches to different types of interlocutors.

At the end of the training participants understand the purpose of internal audit, they are able not only to plan, conduct the audits and evaluate results, but also to motivate and convince the auditee of the need for improvements.
