Workshop «Technical regulation in EEU countries. Latest trends.»

On Tuesday, October 17, 2017, for the first time in the history under the roof of Russian-German Chamber of Commerce representatives of German regulation agencies and the Eurasian Economic Commission meet together with experts of TMS RUS to discuss current situation in a field of technical regulation procedure.

Eurasian Economic Commission organization is not wildly known in Germany. However, it’s importance increases steadily in the sphere of economic development with EEC member countries.

Technical regulation questions are on special focus. Standardization, accreditation and certification rules and processes should be harmonized in accordance with world practice. The Russian-German Chamber of Commerce supports its members to eliminate existing technical barriers on trade and came over with an initiative to organize a roundtable discussion.

Delegations of German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and German regulation agencies arrived in Moscow to familiarize with the situation and establish a direct views exchange with EEU representatives, as well as others responsible structures in technical regulation field. Business needs were the focus of attention.

Russian delegation was represented by Eurasian Economic Commission and RosAccreditation that allowed to exchange views and experience in overcoming business problems between Russia and Germany and take steps to eliminate them.

During the workshop the participants also exchanged views on the latest trends in the field of technical regulation and further cooperation.
