Quality Function Deployment (QFD)

This training of the TMS RUS Academy is intended for managers and marketing specialists and quality departments, as well as for developers of new products and processes aimed at improving the competitiveness of their products. During the training, the QDF (Quality Function Deployment technology for deploying quality functions) is considered the so-called «quality houses», with the help of which all the information necessary for the production of the highest quality product is accumulated.

QDF is one of the most powerful modern quality management tools, giving a systematic approach to determining and clarifying product requirements taking into account the expectations and needs of consumers, the requirements of the competitive environment, as well as technical and economic capabilities.

Using the QFD methodology is a clear advantage over competitors to improve quality, improve consumer properties and extend the product life cycle.

• quality, quality dualism;
• marketing, Kano model;
• systematic approach to determining product requirements;
• the place and role of the QFD methodology in the «Production Preparation» and «Change Management» processes, the relationship of the QFD methodology with the sections of ISO 9001:2015 and the APQP stages;
• design for «6 sigma», cascading requirements when conducting QFD (the concept of «houses») on the component, process, production;
• benchmarking.

The training provides a systematic understanding of implementation and step-by-step work on the process of determining product requirements through team and individual practical tasks and ends with testing.
