Internal audit of Food Safety Management System (ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, HACCP, BRC, IFS, GMP+)

Internal audit training is a two-day workshop in which future internal auditors should study the requirements for planning, conducting and completing an internal audit in accordance with ISO 19011: 2018. This course is suitable for trained specialists who are familiar with the requirements of GFSI standards ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP +, BRC, IFS.

The introductory part of the training is devoted to the importance of audit in the management system. Based on the tasks identified at the beginning of the training, participants learn how to combine requirements and the right decisions into a single model. In order to implement the risk oriented approach and achieve results in the internal audit process, the training considers risks and measures to manage them in the areas of:

• internal audits;
• implementation of audit program;
• risks of failure to implement improvements as a result of the audit.

On practical tasks participants perform work:

• selection of a team of «right» auditors;
• internal audit planning, taking into account the significance, risks, opportunities and experience (practical work «Preparing an audit program for a year»);
• selection of audit criteria (practical work «Preparation of a questionnaire for internal audit»);
• documentation evaluation (we use «live» examples of documents and orient auditors to flexibility in approaches);
• planning a logical survey and monitoring the receipt of evidence;
• observations (we use real media materials and train to see inconsistencies, and also not to draw premature conclusions);
• working with the objections of the auditees, using the best approaches to different types of interlocutors (practical group work «How not to start a war with the auditee?»).

In addition the training course for the FSMS internal auditors provides psychological aspects of conducting both internal and external audits (audit of suppliers) – the ability to motivate, convince auditors of the necessary improvements.
