A new chief executive of RusAccreditation appointed

Aleksey Khersontsev took the lead in The Federal Service for Accreditation. The Prime-minister Dmitriy Medvedev signed a relevant document, published on the Government website.

Up to this day Mr. Khersontsev has been leading the Department of State Regulation in the Ministry for Economic Development of the Russian Federation.  As a Head of the Department he was responsible for regulatory support of the national accreditation system formation. Moreover, he was in charge of the following questions:

• Multifunctional centers network foundation providing government and municipal services;
• Service quality improvement;
• Government transparency level increase by means of regulation.gov.ru creation and  «Open data» project launch;
• Administrative barriers to entrepreneurship reduction;
• Legislation improvement on regulatory and supervisory activities and on self-regulation.

The previous RusAccreditation Chief Executive Savva Shipov has been appointed to the post of Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. Savva Shipov has been leading the newly established Federal Service for Accreditation since November, 2011.  During the period of his leadership unified national accreditation system was established combining 16 dispersed system units. In addition, legal and regulatory accreditation framework  was created almost from scratch, compliance certification and declaration registers were launched, which provided an opportunity to check its authenticity online. RusAccreditation has definitely succeeded in bringing order to conformity assessment market, thus making Russian accreditation system fully prepared to international recognition.
