Quality management for medical organizations according to ISO 9001:2015

Training in the requirements of the quality management system for medical organizations is highlighted in a separate training with the aim of transmitting adapted and targeted information on the specifics of quality management in healthcare.

Quality in healthcare means observation, including such criterions as accessibility, effectiveness, safety and patient involvement, timeliness, and the provision of services based on facts and knowledge. The consideration of these principles is reflected in the ISO 15224 standard «Healthcare Services», which is considered at the training in addition to the requirements of the main standard ISO 9001 «Quality Management Systems. Requirements».

The training is presented by lecture and practical exercises that cover:

  • work to determine the context of the medical organization, stakeholders (patient and customer), their requirements and expectations;
  • work on creating a process model of a medical organization, describing a process, determining a monitoring procedure, analyzing process data;
  • identification of process risks and identification of measures in relation to risk;
  • work on determining the capabilities of the process and the organization as a whole and setting goals in the field of quality based on the identified capabilities;
  • work to determine the key competence of personnel of a medical organization;
  • work to assess the quality of medical services;
  • work on managing inappropriate results, analyzing the causes and assigning improvements.

The training is intended for managers and employees of medical organizations implementing or maintaining a quality management system.
